Record Enrollment Reflects Growing Need for Grief Support
We are deeply moved to announce that enrollment for our Grief Support Groups has officially closed following an unprecedented response from our community. The overwhelming interest—far exceeding our initial capacity—has led us to expand our offering from one to two concurrent groups, both of which launched successfully at the end of November 2024.
This remarkable response underscores a profound truth: grief support remains critically underserved in our communities, and the need for safe, professionally-facilitated spaces to process loss is greater than ever.
About Our Grief Support Groups
Our closed groups provide a sanctuary for 8-10 participants to journey together through the landscape of loss. Meeting weekly for 24 sessions, these intimate gatherings offer:
Witnessed healing in a confidential, compassionate environment
Structured grief work combining evidence-based approaches with emergent practices
Peer connection with others who truly understand the weight of loss
Professional facilitation ensuring psychological safety and therapeutic progress
Led by Monika Bar, doctoral researcher in consciousness studies and grief counselor with over 10 years of clinical experience, these groups integrate traditional bereavement therapy with innovative approaches to meaning-making and post-traumatic growth. Monika's unique background in both clinical psychology and consciousness research brings depth and nuance to the healing process, helping participants not just survive their loss, but discover profound transformation within it.
Looking Ahead
While current groups are now underway, we encourage those interested to join our waitlist for the next cohort beginning January 2025. The extraordinary response to this program reinforces our commitment to expanding grief support services in our community.
